Who we are
TROOS (trooscourt.com), formerly Neutrino, is run by Zain Khwaja in India, who decides how the information below is used. For anything about your data, write to hello@neutrinocourt.com.
What we collect
- Your case. What you write, the names you use, and the evidence you add, such as screenshots, photos, voice notes, short videos and documents. The same for the other side, and for any witness who answers.
- Your account. There is no sign-up. Your first visit creates an account that lives in a cookie on your device, and the links to your cases are saved in your browser. You can use the same account on other devices by linking them with a code. If you add an email address or turn on notifications, we keep that address or your browser’s notification details so we can tell you when something happens in your case. If you choose to keep your account safe with an email, we keep that address only to send you a code when you want your account on a new device. It is never shown to the other side and never used for marketing, and you can forget it at any time.
- Payments. Card, UPI and bank details go straight to our payment processors. We never see them. We keep a record of each purchase and its amount against your account.
- Usage. What you do in the court, such as opening a summons, watching a verdict to the end or sharing it, recorded against your account so we can see where people get stuck and make it better. This stays with us: it is never sold, never shared with advertisers and never combined with information from other companies. Pages visited and basic device details are also counted, without cookies, and we keep technical logs to fix problems.
- Approximate location. The city, region and country you take part in a case from, worked out from your internet connection, not from your device’s location. We use it to see where the court is used, and it stays with us like the rest.
Why
To run your case and show it to the people involved, to take payment and keep your balance right, to keep the service working and safe, and to improve it. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Uploads are checked automatically for content we cannot accept. We sometimes read cases to find and fix faults.
Who handles it for us
Some companies do parts of the work for us. Each one gets only what its part needs, and handles it on our instructions. They provide:
- website hosting, database and file storage;
- AI models that read cases and write verdicts;
- voice and music for paid verdicts;
- payment processing;
- browser notifications.
Some of them are outside India, so your information may be stored or processed in other countries.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people or the service.
Who can see a case
A case is opened by its links, and anyone with a link sees what it opens. Each side sees its own filing, and the verdict once the court has ruled. A witness sees what the side who called them chose to share. If a verdict link is forwarded, whoever opens it can see the verdict.
After the verdict either side can put the case to the jury. We post it on TROOS's own Instagram account, @neutrino.jury, where people vote on who is right and can comment on it, only if both sides agree to that, having seen exactly what would be posted, and we send both sides the result. If either side takes it back, we delete the post. A case we post also has a page of its own that anyone with its link can read and vote on. It is not listed on our site or shown to search engines.
Each side can also save the same picture to post on their own Instagram, or anywhere else, and that needs only their own agreement. The picture shows both sides' first names and what each of them wrote, so one side can share the other side's words this way without the other side agreeing.
Whatever goes out uses first names only, and leaves out contact details, addresses and named places. It includes none of the photos, videos or recordings filed in the case. A side that filmed itself watching the verdict can choose to add its own selfie to its side of the picture, and can add its Instagram username there too. Each side decides only for itself, before it agrees, and either can be left out. A selfie or username that is added goes wherever the picture goes: on our account if both sides chose it, and in the picture either side can save for their own. It never appears on the case's page. We cannot check that a username belongs to the person who typed it, so please report one that is not theirs.
Either side can take our post and its page down at any time, and a report takes them down while we look. Either also deletes the selfies and usernames added to it. A picture someone has posted on their own account is theirs, and we cannot remove it.
How long we keep it
The photos, videos, voice notes and documents filed in a case are deleted a day after a free case ends and a week after a paid one, which is also how long a ruling can be appealed. A selfie added to the jury's picture is deleted from our systems on the same schedule, counted from when it was added, or sooner if the post is taken back or reported, or you delete your account. What the court read from them, such as a caption or a transcript, stays with the case. A case that is left unfinished is treated the same way, counted from the last time anyone used it. We keep the rest of a case until you ask us to delete it. The side that filed a case can withdraw it, and the other side can leave it, while it is still being filed. You can delete your account yourself, at the foot of your cases: that removes your list of cases, your saved email, the money in your account and your link to our usage records, on every device linked to it. Cases you shared stay with the other side until their files are deleted as above. To delete a whole case or anything else we hold about you, write to hello@neutrinocourt.com and include the case link if you have it. We will do it within 30 days. Purchase records are the exception, because the law says we must keep them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or to the data protection authority where you live.
Cookies
We use one cookie. It keeps your account on this device and the site needs it to work. It is also how we connect the steps someone takes through the court (see Usage, above). There are no advertising cookies and no cookies from other companies.
Children
TROOS is for people aged 13 and over, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian’s permission to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think we have, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes up here with a new date.
